GOVERNANCE & ACCOUNTABILITY

How we are governed

We publish what can be verified independently, and we publish membership facts as aggregates rather than naming individuals.

Who governs CAMAB Women?

An Executive Bureau elected by the general assembly. Our constitution requires that at least 80% of the board be women at all times, and reserves the presidency for a woman with visual impairment.

How many of your officers are blind or partially sighted?

Seven of the eight recorded officers are visually impaired, and there are no men in the Executive Bureau. We publish this as an aggregate. We do not publish any individual member's disability status.

How can someone verify that CAMAB Women is a real organisation?

We were registered on 26 November 2021 by the Senior Divisional Officer for Mfoundi, receipt N° 00000647, under law n° 90/053 of 19 December 1990. It is a state-issued instrument that can be checked independently of anything we say about ourselves.
