Who we are
This website is run by CAMAB Women, the Cameroonian Association for Blind Women, a non-profit association registered on 26 November 2021 with the Senior Divisional Officer for Mfoundi under receipt N° 00000647. We work from The CAMAB Centre at Nkolbisson, Yaoundé VII, Cameroon. Our website address is https://camabwomen.org.
What we collect
We collect only what you send us. Specifically:
- Contact and volunteer forms. Your name, email address, telephone number, the subject you select and the message you write. This reaches us by email; we do not store it in a separate database.
- Comments. If you comment on an article or event, we store the comment, the name and email you give, your IP address and your browser user-agent string. WordPress uses these to detect spam.
- Donations. Donations are processed by the GiveWP plugin on this site. Payment details are handled by the payment provider, not by us.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses.
We do not run any analytics or tracking service on this site. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker. If that changes, this page will be updated before it does.
Cookies
If you leave a comment you may opt in to saving your name, email and website in cookies, so you do not have to fill them in again. These last one year. If you have an account and log in, we set temporary cookies to check that your browser accepts them, and login cookies that last two days, or two weeks if you select Remember Me.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles and event pages may include embedded content, such as videos. Embedded content from another website behaves exactly as if you had visited that website, and those sites may collect data about you, use cookies and monitor your interaction with that content.
How long we keep it
Messages sent through our forms are kept for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of our correspondence. Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically rather than held in a queue.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only where the law requires it, or with a service that is necessary to run the site, such as our hosting provider or the payment provider handling a donation.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Write to us through our contact page and tell us what you would like us to do. We will not ask you to prove your identity in a way that is inaccessible to you.
Accessibility of this policy
If any part of this page is not accessible to you, or you would like it in another format, tell us and we will provide it. See our Accessibility Statement.
